From the context here I think I should press for a free copy. Or co-author or something.

But I know Adam well enough t know he actually rewrote the material he submitted.

Plus I can't make heads r tales ut of d20 stuff. I've neve rpayed D&D.

I was wondering how much he nicked from The Mysteries that was purely his own creation. Given that he took the Heralds and the Cabal of the Golden Bee (as well as something else IIRC), I assumed that they were something that were primarily his own.

Am I right or was the entire book (TMysteries) the product of collaboration?

Adam and I work by synthesis and collaboration. I think we'd both be hard pressed to say what belongs to either one of us. The research tends to be mine, the rules tend to start with him. Adam is quite frankly better at mechanics than I care to be.

There are things I feel more strongly about, and things he feels more strongly about. But in the end, I think we'd both agree that The Mysteries is a 50-50 collaboration. The Heralds and Golden Bee, like all the other secret socieites, were very much a synthesis of things developed by the two of us.

I agree with Jere that The Mysteries was a "two undivided halves" project. I saw my chapters of Occult Lore as an opportunity for reimagining the research & application Jere & I did for The Mysteries for a modern fantasty setting. I kept Jere up to date with my Occult Lore content over the phone, and even though he's not a d20 fan, I'm sure he can be proud of the results. :)

How compatible do you think Occult Lore is with Ars Magica? How would you change the Astrology and Magical Imagination chapters to be more Ars-ish?
