Well, as the first poster in this thread.. I ask only one question.

When will we see the complete line of previously published Feng Shui products available?

That is all.
Neil.

Hi!

Complete? Well--the answer is "never," I must report. We don't have the rights to reprint most of what Daedalus published.

We *do* have the rights to reissue Thorns of the Lotus. I have in fact been working on it here on my Mac at home. If things come together, we may have it out in October.

Meanwhile, the GM screen is just waiting for artwork to come in so it can go to press.

Any new Feng material on the cards, then?

Well, the Screen is new, but not very big. Beyond that, yes, we do have some new material in the works for 2003.

We've also got BLOOD OF THE VALIANT to reissue at one point -- that one was published by Green Ronin, and again we picked up the reprint rights to it.

With stunning irony, the screen was announced just after I'd painstakingly made my own GM reference card.

Ah, good news, good news. But can I trick you into revealing what some of the 2003 releases are about?

Well, I suppose it's understandable that there wouldn't be a TOTAL reprint of the system. However I am curious to know if the rest of the faction books will be released.

I've heard a fair bit about "Blood of the Valiant" and "Thorns of the Lotus" but haven't heard any release dates that actually had official mention.

So the revised question: Which of the faction books are within Atlas' rights to reprint?

And: Are there any new source books in the works?

Thanks so much for the quick reply.
Neil.

As far as I recall, "Thorns of the Lotus" was the only faction book that Daedalus published. They also published "Marked for Death" (an adventure collection) and "Back for Seconds" (a book of characters). Thorns is the only book we went looking for the rights to, because we didn't want to be missing a faction book. The other two, while fine books, don't really warrant reprinting. (Indeed, we put out "In Your Face Again" to fill the adventure collection role -- better to do something new to everyone, rather than reissue something available only to some.)

"Blood of the Valiant" was going to be published by Daedalus, but when they were closing up show they permitted Chris Pramas, the author, to publish it under his own company. After he sold out, we bought the rights from him, so that we'll be able to reissue it at some point.

There are new books in the works, but I don't want to comment on that until our plans are a bit more firm. I get in too much trouble as it is with promises of product that then turns up late... ;)

If I may just say, "sweeeeet". I've only been waiting for about three years for this book, ever since I tried unsuccessfully to get a copy as Daedalus was going down. Glad to hear it's in the works by someone!

Indeed. I saw it once..._once_ in Madison when I was off playing RPGs. I've been kicking myself ever since.

I know you all don't have any relation to Z-Man games but will there be any new material on the Purists which recently made their debuet in Shadowfist?

For those of us who don't follow the card game, could you give us some details on the Purists? I've never heard of them before.

The Purists are a sub-faction of the Architects of the Flesh who used magic in its true form rather than as Arcanowave. I may be wrong but I believe they started as Lotus operatives from 2056 who decided they would do better as their own group instead of following a bunch of eunchs.

From www.shadowfist.com (http://www.shadowfist.com/html/game_factions.htm)
Purists: A formerly secret society of sorcerers within the Architects of the Flesh, now acting openly and independently. Originally recruited and taught by Lotus agents, they are opposed to Arcanowave technology and all its applications. They dedicate themselves to the perfection of "pure" magic. This dedication causes loss of fingers to sentient paradox cubes. Others lose their minds.
