This afternoon we sent ON LOCATION: THE FENG SHUI GM'S SCREEN off to the printer. Expected turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks, which should mean we get the goodies back in late July (at about the same time as NYAMBE: AFRICAN ADVENTURES).

Following are the product details...

ON LOCATION:
The Feng Shui GM's Screen

This exciting new accessory for the Feng Shui action movie roleplaying game delivers two essential items, in one package, to GMs all over the world: a piece of cardboard and a sheaf of paper. Do not be misled by the apparently humble nature of these objects.

The piece of cardboard is not just any piece of cardboard. Not by a long shot. It’s a four-panel Feng Shui reference extravaganza, suitable for GMs to hide game notes and die rolls from players while keeping the most-referenced tables and charts from Feng Shui handy.

Likewise, the sheaf of paper is not just any sheaf of paper. You can bet your grandma’s heart pills on it. It’s a booklet containing a bunch of locations you can use in your adventures when your imagination flags and you just can’t figure out where to stage the next fight. It’s especially useful when your characters wind up in another fight in a warehouse, apartment building, or back alley and you can’t for the life of you figure out why this warehouse, apartment building, or back alley is any different from the last dozen of them where you staged fights.

Hey, all... has anyone gotten ahold of this baby yet? Is the GM screen worth paying good cash for? I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who's bought/used it.

On a mildly related note, what's the time differential between stuff appearing in the states and appearing in the UK? I know it will vary with location, but is there some sort of indication?

It seems to me that the UK tends to get stuff about a week or two after the typical US store. We ship to our UK distributors' drop-points in the US; I think they almost always use air freight, probably with once a week shipments consolidating their orders from multiple US manufacturers. I would imagine that customs clearance and the like adds another time variable, as well as delivery within the UK.

About the screen in particular: It shipped out to distributors after Gen Con. (We'd gotten some copies right before the show, and the rest arrived while we were away.) It should be in stores all over the place by now. I do worry that it may be getting lost in the yearly Gen Con deluge of new products, though.

Hey Queex,

Leisure Games (in London) might have the GM screen. They are on the net at www.leisuregames.com. I just mail ordered the screen from them recently. All the way to China! :)
