Has anyone heard any updates about when this will become available?

Haven't heard any news, nope. We do still have issues #9, #10 and #11 in our warehouse, if anyone is looking for those.

I actually would hope that Damelon might sell them as individual downloadable PDFs. That would let people round out their collections, and it should honestly make Damelon more money. (Aren't they worth $5 each as downloads? I sure think so. Not sure if a $55 CD-ROM would be so popular, though, especially since a lot of folks would probably be looking just to round out their collections.)

Oh, I _have_ 9, 10, and 11. Ordered them as soon as I learned that the CD would be 1-8 only.

You know, I knew that, and then I forgot it.

That kind of week...

Surely if Damelon is placing 1-8 of MP on CD as PDF documents it would be not a much bigger step to sell the them as separate units as downloadable PDFs.

I know that personally I wouldn't buy the CD as some issues are of no interest, but one or two others are of the "must have" range. So as long as the CD is targeting a separate segement of the market, why not sell them separately, make more money. (yeap they are worth about US$5 to download, no postage - thats the killer!)

Or is there a technical problem with the base files (that is they are scans of the layouts, not digital Postscripts like Quark etc). If they are scans then the PDFs are going to blow out to 10-20 Meg in size with poor resolution. At this size they will course all sorts of printing problems on low end (home user) ink jet printers and computers.

But if they are 'normal modern pdfs, post 1997' then there is really no excuse that I can see. Unless there is something unknown, I'm missing.

If Damelon sells the PDFs for $5 each, I'll buy them all. Not because I expect everything to be of use, but because I'm sure that each issue will have _something_, at least, that will be of interest or utility to me.

Heh. I'm already printing out the Hermes Portal stuff so I'll have the articles handy.
