D20 System Games A Question ...

I read this from John Nephew in the Feng Shui forum:

"At the present, we don't have any plans for Coriolis/D20 Modern. I suppose we might try it at some point, but we haven't been watching the D20 Modern developments very closely. (We didn't apply to get advance access to the book, for example.)"

If I might ask, why not? This isn't supposed to be any kind of a dig or complaint, I'm just genuinely curious. In light of how successful the Penumbra line has been for Atlas, I would have assumed that there'd be at least a minimal interest in Modern stuff. Is there something about the D20 Modern product or line that has Atlas shying away?

Thanks,

The simple answer is, our resources are finite. We have to pick our battles, if you will, and we simply decided not to deploy anything on the d20 Modern front.

Well that makes sense too.

An Unseen Armies D20 Modern Coriolis book would make me cry (for example). The same goes for Over the Edge.
