I have a Tribunal meeting planned for the weekend (Theban 1102) and I am interested in war stories/colour.

What have you got?

Italian/Latin/Frankish magi versus the native Grecian and Slavic magi.

Turkish magi in Asia Minor v. the Christian magi.

Orthdox Christians v. Catholics v. Monophysites/Eastern Church.

Pro-Imperial magi v. Venetian/Genoese/Crusader magi.

Templars! Hospitallers! Catholic Cardinals!

What kinds of things are you looking for?

Too early for Templars and Hospitallers.
Italian merchants are just making pushes east on the tail of the crusade.

More after Order specific stuff than period historical which I have a good handle on.

I still haven't chosen an island yet that will have the meeting - Constantinople is too big and busy to hold it there. So they will hold it elsewhere. Jere (I think) had an Olympics with the Tribunal - but I'm not comfortable with that as it feels too much out of period - way too early and late. Though I may have it proposed and argued by the attendees (pagans vs christians).

What about one of the 'Princes Islands' for the place of the tribunal:
(1) easily reachable from Constantinople,
(2) some historical infrastructure in place (monasteries to forcibly retire unwanted nobles from Constantinople),
(3) still lonely places with good control about who accesses them,
so if there is a covenant in Constantinople, they are very likely to have adopted one of these islands - perhaps Chalkis (on today's maps Heybeli Ada).

Yours,

Berengar
