I am still in the process of assimilating Thorns of the Lotus, and I just "discovered" Body Borrow.

So let us say a supernatural creature starts with a low reflexes attribute (my take is Body 6, Chi 3, Mind 8, Reflex 5 and Deceit 11), and Body borrow, transformation, blood drain (AV) and regeneration usable also in body borrow. An alternative is replacing regeneration by immunity to sorcery (including the Summoning schtick and Exorcism of course!). First xp will go to hands without shadow, willow step, and an extra schtick of body borrow (to use blood drain).

Body borrow can be used for a large variety of purposes. In combat it instantly incapacitates an opponent AND protects you from damage (not your body taking damage after all). After combat, you can heal your buddies by borrowing their body (ride only, i.e. the weak borrowing ability unless they are really trusting) and using the regeneration schtick. Information gathering and infiltration become easy if you find the right NPC to "ride". You can also ruin most ennemy alliances by having the henchman of one attack the other in the back at the right time.

Then, at the end of the fight, you can choose the most appropriate incapacitated body around (someone with high reflexes or/and creature powers) to wear until the next fight. A variety of tricks can be used to make the borrowing even more likely: blood drain the body highest AV; if there is a dying character with creature powers around, be sure to drain his creature power skill dry first; ask your friendly sorcerer or magic cop to make a cosy "corrupted" area to work in; and do not hesitate to retry (especially if it does not carry any AV penalty) or spend fortune points. Finally, let regeneration do its job on the mangled body.

In any case, seeing that initial Reflexes are only 5, they should increase at each possession resulting in an increased Martial arts skill.

On top of that, Body borrow can be used for a large variety of other purposes.

I am still wondering how body borrow works on mooks though. Is it possible? Does the borrowed body become named? After all, there are usually enough incapacitated mooks around after a fight to try long term body borrow on them until it works. Plus, if you are kicked out of the body, they are easy to neutralize.
