Feng Shui AV-Modifiers: stacking and doge value

Hi there

FS, especially the new Iron & Silk Book, knows now several modifiers to change the action value of the user in one certain skill.

For example the sorcerer can use a magic staff => +1 sorcery AV. Does this bonus stack with other AV modifiers like the rice paper, the aura of sorcery or the compass?

Do these modifiers also change the passive dodge value or is the passive dodge value only based on the actual sum of attribut and skill bonus?

IMHO they both stack and influence the passive dodge value, with the possible exception of the the laser pointer, wich should not increase the passive dodge of a gun-user.

Your opinion?

I would say a staff that increases the Sorcery AV would also affect the Dodge, as long as the staff is actually in the spellcaster's hands. [But these things would be judged on an individual basis; for example, I agree that a laser pointer would not help the user's Dodge.]
