I find it VERY useful. I got it as a gift, so offhand I don't know what it costs. It's got all the necessary tables from the main rule book and Golden Comback, (especially combat rules).

What d'ya get? The sample action Difficulties chart, the Skill list, sample stunt Dfficulties, Wounds/ Impairment chart, Juncture modifiers, damage values (support beam whacks you in the head? 18 damage!), PLUS a fu schtick reference table (list of schticks, chi/ shot costs, page #'s).

But wait, there's more! If you order now, you also get the gun reference chart, with stats at your fingertips! (OK, you get that no matter when you order...) Melee weapon chart too.

The art's a bit funky, but it does capture the Feng Shui feel.

Now, with your screen, you get the On Location booklet, which is basically a list of places your adventures can take you. There are brief outlines of places such as airport terminals, convenience stores, family restaurants, that sort of thing. They come with suggestions as to why your PCs would be there, what can be found inside, sample NPCs for each location (i.e., Parking Attendant), and a short list of stuff that can happen during fights.

I like the screen muy mucho. The booklet, eh, I can't say that it added anything I couldn't do on my own, but it does give you something more for your buck if you suddenly need to know what it's like when your players' firefight takes them into a Public Park.

Overall, I recommend it. Having all those charts in one location makes using the rule books during play prit' near unnecessary.

though i did find a good website for feng shui... i just cant remember where i found it

thought id share it, just in case other people havent seen it

I thought the booklet really not very inspiring, but the screen is very good. My only problem with it is that it uses the Atlas edition page numbers for references, but I have the old Daedalus softcover. :) The artwork is from the French company that does the French translation of FS, I believe, and is great.

The GM Screen is worth picking up just for the booklet of generic fight locations.

The GM Screen itself is quite useful, especially the guns list and the Fu schtick index.

I have two minor gripes with it, however... First, there's no Arcanowave Mutation chart on it, which admittedly I've never used but would be a pain to look up if you don't know where to find it.

Second, no shot counter. Or rather, it doesn't have the integrated rotating shot counter that I created for my custom FS GM Screen. I cut out a circular piece of cardboard, added 1-20 numbers around the edge on both sides, and sandwiched it between two manila folders. Cut out a hole on either side so you can see the shot number, and leave enough of the circular disk sticking out the top so you can rotate it, and voila, integrated rotating shot counter.

I should probably make another one and send it to Will Hindmarch or John Nephew... in the unlikely event that they sell out of their current stock and can afford the added expense of cutting and assembling the pieces for a new GM Screen.

Although I may make one for myself shortly...

I would have put different charts on the screen- but then I guess I'm now quite an experienced GM who doesn't need things like weapon damages and sample difficulties. It would be nice to have a 'GM screen deluxe' that includes full schtick lists from all the supplements (with page numbers so you can look them up really fast) and other bells and whistles. But then, I suppose there would be so few potential buyers that it wouldn't be economical.
