It's not you. I am not bothered as much by what Muto has lost, as by what Rego has gained.

However, I do think it's been cleared up once and for all what Arts would be needed to turn water into ice. So I guess there is a silver lining of a sort.

They did take alot from Muto, but it makes for a better game. In 4th ed it was too easy to get soak scores of 40+ with just a few spells that used similar arts.

Now a magus will have a more difficult time wading into the thick of melee blasting away. And the GM can use challenges for the group that will still threaten everyone with harm without being instant death for all who are not specialised in MuCo

I agree

The game as a whole is a lot more balanced than it was. Still I would like to have a bit more options in MuVi than just the wizard's boost & it's 100 million version that do the same thing.
