A couple of omissions from the main rules that I thought were quite significant were casting spells from a text and taking on more than one enemy in a fight at a time, or, defending yourself when more than one enemy is taking you on. 4th Edition rules still look good enough for both of these situations, IMHO; what do other people think?

Casting from text was omitted when streamlining texts about magic, and how to study them. I recall having read that it might reappear in some form or the other in an ArM5 supplement.
One on many combat can is covered by the ArM5 group combat rules.
