Ars Magica Evolution of an Arch Wizard

Trying a little exercise here, I designed a starting wizard that I intend to make into an Arch Wizard, mainly to see how it might be done, and also to see how the advancement rules work. Thought I'd share it so you can see the results. Here's the starting Magus, directly from apprenticeship.

In year 8, his 4th Season he had to control a Twilight effect (he did, so no Twilight happened), but he did nothing else that Season. Year 23 he was already finished with the sword, and there's still 10 levels worth of enchantments that can fit in it. Initially he was going to add an effect that made the sword able to heal itself, but that effect (according to Calebais) is level 24, too high for the sword. So instead he added some extra Penetration to one of the effects, and tranlsated the lab text.

Basically he intends to use the spell 'Reaping the Deadly Harvest' as one of the Arch Wizard requirements for creating a 7+ Magnitude spell. He also intends to turn the sword 'Perdition's Bite' over to the Order to give to a Magus who is entrusted to combat demons. He hopes that gift would be used as the deed to the Order which also must be considered for entrance. If worse comes to worse and he thinks that's not enough, he might take the sword himself and try to kill some demons with it. I intend to make the deed questionable to members of his own House. As a Verditius, other Verditians would probably expect any Archwizard from their House to win the Verditian contest for best magical invention, and a sword that kills demons is not likely to win, or even come close, even if it is powerful. That little stain on his honor will haunt him I suspect, if he's succesful at becoming an Archwizard (not getting his own House's respect or approval for example).

As I looked over this I noticed some discrepencies in the math and inventions and I tried to correct them, but if you see others let me know. For instance I initially was going add a constant effect of Repel the Wooden Shafts to his Talisman, but it wouldn't work with the lab total and the timeline I came up with. So I switched it to the Gift of Vigor, which fit into the timline as well as the amount of vis used. I'll try to get some more in soon. I'm thinking that when he reaches his late 80s he might try for his Archwizard's challenge, so in the meantime he needs to train an apprentice.

Finally got a chance to get back to this. I aged him up to 100 years old, and there was lots of wasted time unfortunately. The search for the apprentice took 5 years altogether, which ultimately cost 150 xp. A Per stress roll of 12+ per Season is tough to make, especially when you have a 0 Perception. I spent a lot of time increasing vital Abilities, as well as getting all Arts to 10+ minimum. He had a hard time with Aging Rolls, accumulating a few Aging points in some stats, but not having a Crisis, so I pushed it longer than I should have maybe. At 100 he's now planning on going after Favilus of Merinita's Challenge for Arch Magus. It will take some more time before he's ready, perhaps in the next 5 years. Favilus's challenge is to make Lady Belmalia, Queen of Melancholy and Winter Night, smile on the Winter Solstice, causing the Spring to eventually manifest in the surrounding area. The proof required is a token she awards to whoever makes her smile. One Magus has challenged Favilus before and failed, barely escaping alive and mostly sane. Here is Fabrica at the age of 100. Forgive the strange format, Word pad is just unusable for this, everything is all over the place.
