AM5 just arrived in the mail, and skimming a little I have this question: What's the use of a character's confidence SCORE. I know you can use the points to improve rolls, but what's the score used for? Thanks.

Confidence Score limits how many confidence points you can use at once.

I.e. most starting magi have 3 confidence and 1 confidence score, hence they can use only 1 point in one situation, compared to a freshly made Tytalus who has 5 in confidence but a confidence score of 2, thus being able to use up to two points at once.
