I played a lot of demo games at the GAMA Trade Show last month, and I kept finding myself delighted with tricks that came up in play...there's more subtlety and cool combos in play than seems apparent at first blush. For example, in one game I played a really strong negative modifier on the player to my right. Its rules text forced an immediate discard of the player's entire hand. Normally you'd play this on your own character on the end of the turn (and then draw back up), but this hosed my opponent because he wouldn't get a chance to draw until the end of his next turn -- and during his turn he'd have no cards to play. Then the player after me played another positive-modifier card on top of the one I'd played, adding insult to injury! It was sweet. -John Nephew President, Atlas Games
