As a general rule , if you take a flaw , you shouldnt be easily able to buy it off with a spell (SGs can find this annoying).

When you ask for a spell , try putting down what you think it would involve as well.
No-one will hassle you about 'wrongness' but you will gain more insight into how spell design works.

As an aside , if you cant affored the 5th edition rules outright , any of your gaming stores do lay-bys or gift vouchers?
(several friends or relatives could team up to do this for a birthday or christmas).

A simple way to do this is an enchanted device.
A bell would be a good choice.
A Rego Terram effect
Ring the Bell
Level 20(02+02+01=5+(01+02)x05 = 20)

Level 2 Control Dirt in a slightly unnatural fashion
+02 magnitudes for metal
Range : Voice (+02)
Duration : Sun (+02)(you are a late sleeper after all)
Target : Individual (+0)

This should have the effect of moving your bell side to side , in effect 'ringing' it.
With a range of voice hopefully it wont wake anyone else up unless you are in a small room or share it with others.

Give your enchanted bell an environmental trigger of dawn , which means unless you leave the bell somewhere to catch the sun's rays
you may have to include a InIm spell to 'see' when the sun rises.

Im still not very proficient with the system , let alone creating enchanted devices. But thats what i can come up with at first try.

Have to be one big candle , is all i can say!

Great for monastic discipline balancing a lit candle between your toes and trying to sleep w/o it going out or setting your blanket and matress alight.

Iirc hour candles could vary by as much as 20 minutes in burn time.
I think monasteries actually had bells (in the bell tower , rung by the resident campanologist).

The Rule of Benedict didnt allow monks to get a full 8 hours sleep either (again iirc).

You could always see if your Redcap can place an order in Switzerland for a wake-up device of some kind , maybe one with an enchanted singing bird in it :-)

An easy (maybe not the easiest) way to make an alarm clock would be to make a device with an effect of CrIm, a loud noise, and its Duration is Constant. Then create a second effect of PeIm with range Personal, to suppress the noise. The Duration of that is Sun though, with 2 uses per day. So most of the time, the device is silent due to the PeIm effect, that effect drops at Sunrise and Sunset, causing the first effect to be heard.

A bit lengthy, but reliable.

Let me ammend that. Duh! I forgot that you can just make an Environmental trigger. CrIm with duration of Diameter, 2 uses per day, and it is triggered at Sunrise and Sunset.

here's another new item(non-magical)
pelletbow-basically a slingshot in the form of a long/shortbow.
also the idea of an alarm clock-type item is so that magi can go & finish there personal progects on time.
