There are a couple of spells in the 5th ed core rulebook for animating bodies, but I haven't found any stats for them. There are none in the main book, the supplements, or the web that I have found, could someone help me out?

Thanks.

Hmmm...

I could probably give you a decent zombie for 4th Ed...

Fat : n/a
Body Levels : Ok/-0/-0/-0/-0/Incap.
MM : Level of Spell used to animate
Int: n/a Per: 0
Str: +3 (Unnatural) Sta: n/a
Prs: -5 (Decaying) Com: n/a
Dex: 0 Qik: -3 (plodding gait)

They'd probably have a soak score equal to half of what they are wearing (decayed, rotten clothing or armor, and damage would be done by whatever weapon they were wielding (probably -2, because the weapon would be rusted/pitted/decaying). Actual skill level would be what attack skills the magus has, or thier finesse, whichever is lower, since the animates don't have any brains... "Brains....."

This Help? It's not canon, but I think they're decent...

Steve

A little aside here: just to remind people that at Sanctum Hermeticum Revisited we have a section intended to provide people with just this sort of information. There isn't much there now, I admit, but we're always happy to take submissions like, for example, stats for zombies or skeletons...

Full details and templates for possible submissions can be found at:

I'm seeing plenty of stuff appearing on this forum that would fit in very nicely, though maybe not the Wand of Clamato Juice or the Magical Poopeydoopey Shoes, despite their amusement value. *grin*

I have a few changes that I'd make to Steve's Zombie in order to get it into fifth edition and to match my personal tastes

I don't believe that I'd give the zombies and might score. MR is powerful in fifth edition and creating critters with might seems to me like a qualitativley different thing than animating a corpse to do as you say. (Not that a magus couldn't create a critter with might just that it would be a harder spell.)

Body levels have been dropped in fifth edition, critters now gain wounds rather than loose levels. What I would do to simulate scary zombie goodness is to lower the wound penalties for the zombies by a point (i.e. light wounds give no penalty, medium wounds give only a -1 penalty etcetra)
